Dr. Larry Bliven

Owner/Veterinarian

Since a very young age, Dr. Larry Bliven has possessed a great compassion for all creatures, great and small. Stories of growing up with crocodiles, monkeys, skunks, and more – inspired Dr. Bliven to care about animal life around him. Dr. Bliven studied at Washington State University, and during that time, he found his first trusty companion, Rowdy – a golden retriever. A photograph of Rowdy still hangs in the clinic.

Dr. Bliven lives in Monroe, Washington, with his wife of 29 years, Linda, and his dogs, Roary and Whisper, cat, Jelly Bean, and horses, Penny and Promise. He has three daughters, Carissa, Keleah, and Kianna – all are animal lovers as well.

Dr. Bliven is passionate about giving people and animals alike love and care. From lions to goldfish, sloths to squirrels, and, of course, cats and dogs – Dr. Bliven has treated them all.

Dr. Samantha Stevens

Veterinarian

Even Dr. Samantha Stevens’s parents knew when she was little that someday she would become a veterinarian. Her compassion and love for animals was always at the forefront of her life.

Samantha was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and moved to Duvall, Washington, when she was only seven years old. While she returned to Georgia for her undergrad and attended St. Georges in Grenada for grad school, the PNW called her back. She finished schooling at WSU before she and her husband, Daniel, settled in Sultan with their two dogs, Nellie and Rip.

Dr. Stevens began practicing at Mountain View Animal Hospital in May 2020. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, spending quality time with friends, vacationing with family, and snuggling with dogs.
